Is the cylinder block for the Intek 44 twin stronger than the 40`s
-
Recently we have seen 3 intek 40`s that have cracked the cylinder blocks . Not all on the same mowers . Anybody know why they crack and how to stop this problem ?

If the frame twists right, it can pop any of them.

Thanks for your reply.
Will look at increasing torsion strength of frame , and engine base plate .

99% of the time they crack because the base plate is not flat,if the pan rocks at all it stresses the block when bolted down and wil eventualy crack the block,a sure sign of this is the pan bolts loosening up
