Well we have the local police clock us on our 100 yard straightaway and a road course on each end. 22 mph was on my old mower and the weight got me. but now i am planning this build with a spicer rear transaxle with a 9.89:1 final drive now the only thing my rules say are driveline may be altered for speed so i've been researching online and have figured when done 14 is all i can get with a stock engine like the rule require so thinking of rethinking my game plan to run a peerless 700 and live axle set up

I have all that done and figured out. I need the help on the gearing of the transaxle. my chassis is all most complete a few loose ends left but the major one is the drive line gearing such as pulley sizes and transaxle gear ratios but the engine has to remain stock no external or internal mods allowed. I have raced before with a heavy weight gravely but got out run by a lighter mower but mine was not slow at 22 mph for a 1000 pound machine.

I need help building a 30 mph mower but only problem is where i race we have a limited amount we can do to the mowers. I have strated out with a older craftsman mower with a 15 ohv briggs and a spicer transmission. My rules are as followed for modified are: 1- governed, stock engines with open or mufflers, 2- driveline may be altred to increase speed, 3- pump gasoline, 93 octane max. What can i do for more speed??
