Post your Pics! / sportsman build/pro-x?
« on: October 03, 2010, 09:11:43 pm »
well its time for the winter rebuild. i am lowering it hopefully have it around 4in exactly to the ground, its a 1988 craftsman with a 12 hp techumshin but i might get a twin. if the funds come. i am not 100% sure what class i want to build for but i will be doing a engine to jackshaft to transaxle on this mower. i am getting hubs within a week or two and then rims and tires. ill update when i have done work. i think i might build it for pro-x(dont want to i dont have the $$$) or sportsman if i get a flatty(which i think im going to do)

i just looked down my frame and it looks bent. i measured and it was around 3 3/4 inches off. will this be a hassle when i finish building it? it was a superstock but im moving up a class. so im worried about with the front axle and the transaxle and the jackshaft mounting up correctly.

yep ieat up belts allot. so you might want to change sizes and just filler up with 90w gear oil from anywhere you could buy regular oil from.(autozone a&a walmart tractorsupply etc.) and make sure to clean out the old worn greace if your tranny had it in it stock
