I've been in touch with quite a few people out there and none of them will let me.

Tried a few other places also... no luck.

Any new news on this?

I have been emailing and calling Pikes peak for oh...like 5 years now to get them to let me run my mower there...almost had them telling them it was a 4wheeler, but they caught on.
Just got back from speed week (weekender trip)
I Got salt fever!
Bubs and the ama speed trials s coming up in a week or two, gonna treck ou tther over memorial weekend too!

can you bore the 40cid to take the stock size 44 cube piston?
The only difference between a 40 and a 44 is the bore right? no stroke or rod length diference?

Briggs OHV & Vanguard / Economical alternative to a billet flywheel?
« on: December 26, 2008, 01:31:52 pm »
Dont get me wrong... Those ARC flywheels are top notch, and I have actually purchased one for my last racer a few years ago.... But now, with two kids, and more bills, I just cant swing 500 bucks for the kit, and still aford to build the rest of the mower....
Is there any other way  to make a lightened safe racing flywheel?

I searched and couldnt find a definite answer...
Is it simply a bigger bore?
I have a 40 cube and want to know what it would take to make it more cubes.....

Briggs OHV & Vanguard / Whats the new HOT engine available now???
« on: June 03, 2007, 10:16:45 am »
i dont run in a very regulated league, so as long as its a mower engine, its good.... Right now i have a 40cube intec v-twin with a few goodies on it. i have a 44 cube intec v-twin sitting in the garage waiting to be built.....

what else is out there, and is there something bigger yet?? ( and NOT super heavy, i.e. BIG BLOCK intecs)

I had a buddy that had a deere just like that and got it stolen about a year ago, along with two two other racers, and a trailer.

The best part was seeing that blue MTD come off the straight and lift both front tires!
It was either George, or that prolong one....

If you can find one or cut one to fit..that would be a solution..

Technically... you only need the "lip" or shelf "above" the lower bearing...the c clip will still be holding on the top...but thats OK the lower shelf is way stronger and able to carry the weight...

If you can't find a useable piece of pipe...how about another "outer race" of the same size ...tapped into place and plug welded ...??

hey now thats a great idea! Ive got a few old sets of bearings laying around! Ill take em to work and fix em up good!!

Oh, another thing im going to do is replace the bracket with heim joints so i have more adjustability.. withthe 1/2 inch grade 10 bolt, i can get heims super cheap, but i cant get the 5/8 ones without spending like 30 bucks each!
