Title: Opposed Twin rods and pistons
Post by: AZCOWBOY on January 15, 2017, 04:50:33 pm
I am putting together my opposed 42 .
I know it may have been asked but I don't see anything.
I have ARC rods and 28ci pistons the rods have dot marks on them do they need to go in one way.
And the arrows on the pistons go towards the flywheel. Is there a number 1 and 2 rod. This is my first build just looking for some help.
Thanks

Usually one rod will have 1 dot on rod and 1dot on cap the other rod will have 2 dots on rod and 2 dots on cap. Both rods are the same just marked different so you don't mix caps up, If both of your rods are marked the same , just add another mark to one of them.I usually install so dots are facing out so you can see them when installing and yes arrow on piston towards flywheel
