Chassis / L type spindles

I read stock spindles are not able to handle more than 7-8 mph, what can you do to make them take it? because our rules say NO go kart spindles, L type spindles only. can you cut them off and re-weld at a better angle or what?

Driveline / Homelite RMX

Hey,
Picked up a Homelite RMX with rear engine. Would this be a good racer? it has a 5 speed with reverse peerless (model number 797, Serial number 6058 5890) is this a good tranny? does it happen to be the 700 series that you can do the race prepping thing to. its seperate from the rear axle. http://www.fasttractors.com/rules.html are our rules

Chassis / Suburban 12 Build-up

Hey guys,
in june were gonna be having a lawnmower race, we will be abiding by these rules http://www.fasttractors.com/rules.html i was wondering what i should do to my mower, its a 1970 suburban 12, is this a good choice for a build-up? I believe its engine is a 12 horse kohler. My plan was to add a gas pedal, bolt the front end solid, change the gearing, mabye remove the governor, add a tach, make a header exhaust, use a car airfilter, lower the seat, and mabye weld the rear differential solid. Are these good choices? and is there anything else i can/should do?
