Title: oversized pistons for tvt691
Post by: Mower Militia on July 24, 2016, 03:52:57 pm
Ok got the little twin tore apart to do some mods and bore is in bad shape. Won't clean up with .010 over. Can't find anything bigger than that. 030 would be ideal. Any ideas?

.030 is asking a lot considering the sleeve is approximately .090 wall thickness.

There are some options, but you'd have to buy me lots of beer for me to tell you.

I saw an old post where George Herrin said you could resleeve and use tvm220 pistons. Would that be ok? And where could I get sleeves for this beast?

Ok don't want that. Any other options?

Can always get an engine with a good bore.
Probably cheaper in the long run too.
