When building a kart style rear end, 1 inch axle chain drive etc.  Do you make your axle center with your chassis and do you make it with a stagger or put it in straight in comparison with your front end ?

I can get a 18 hp vanny minus carb from the local scrap yard. What would a used motor like this be worth just to tinker with?

« on: July 06, 2011, 11:53:08 pm »
When you modify a ohv17 do you take the compression release off the cam or just leave it on because you'd have to have a 5hp briggs to start it?

Post your Pics! / My mower

Its not as fancy as 99% of everyone else's mower's, and we all run the stock transmissions around here so it's not the best but usually takes 1st or 2nd place.

Tecumseh Engines / Taking the balancers out of a enduro
« on: May 08, 2011, 08:56:31 pm »
I was told that these motors run fine without the balancers. I tried this on my spare motor and it vibrates wild at idle but once you get into the rpm's it smooth's out. Any suggestions? Did i do something wrong?

Briggs OHV & Vanguard / Throwing around an idea 15.5 ohv
« on: February 02, 2011, 09:10:59 pm »
I have a 15.5 ohv briggs that i worn out. would it be worth it to put a 31 (20hp) piston in this 28 block . and using the head off the 31. all parts are free except to bore it 50 bucks. would the gains be considerable? This is for a drag racer with no rules as far as the motor.
