Coffee Shop / The making of Billet Flywheels.
« on: February 13, 2013, 03:02:21 pm »
There has been discussion from time to time on making your own Billet Flywheel,
versus buying one. Things have got from just talking about it, to telling folks how
to go about doing it. While that seems an easy thing to do, a personal friend,
who is also a Master Machinist, attempted to build one with software to test the
piece after it was designed. It failed many times. While copying a Flywheel may
be an easy task for some, it is not for everyone. Heymow has had a stance on
SAFETY minded builds for a long time. Competition is the way of the world, and
not why this thread was written. So if a person decides to make their own Billet
Flywheel, they will not be teaching people how to do it on Heymow. Due to the
nature of this subject, a warning will issued one time, then subsequent measures
will be taken to insure this topic is not discussed through Heymow.

Thank you for your understanding in this delicate matter.

Coffee Shop / Purpose of Heymow
« on: February 08, 2013, 12:29:29 pm »
The main theme of Heymow is to show various builds in the modifying of a lawn mower
for racing in sanctioned racing, on purpose built tracks. If certain questionable style
builds come up, they may be locked or deleted. This should in no way be considered
a personal attack upon any individual. It should be understood, this action is just taken
as to absolve the liability of Heymow. We are not in the business of teaching people how
to construct a machine that is not in lines with Sanctioned Race Mower Competition.

This is just a friendly reminder for some of our new members who may have not read
a lot of material as yet.

Thanks

Coffee Shop / EC Distributing is in a POWER OUTAGE!!!!
« on: June 18, 2012, 12:26:33 pm »
George just phoned me, and wanted me to give the members a heads up.
They are out of power for the time being, and the phones are just defaulting
to a busy signal, and you are not getting through if you are calling.
He can't get on the net either. I am sure when power is restored, George
will address this message and let everyone know they are back in business.

Thanks, Marc

I have cleaned this section up, and placed pics and videos in the

child boards above. Thank you for your help.

Dear Mowers of the Hey,

Post have been getting deleted, orsometimes modified. this is to remove for sale,
or I have a "part" or "mower" that I need to get rid of kinda posts.
We are not talking about the, where to I find a "store" that sells
toggle switches, but more like, I sure need some toggle switches,
if anyone has any. There are good reasons why we want them in
the For Sale Sections with profiles filled out. There are not that many rules here.
Ok, there are 50 million, and most of them make this the coolest place
to learn about building mowers for racing on a track. It is hard to sound
helpful when a Moderator is griping all the time. Most of the time there
a subtle hints to quit doing something, like post diappearing, then it gets
to a post on behaving, then a PM, or a public beheading. Or even worse,
walking the plank carrying a Briggs Opposed!!!!! Help us hwlp you by placing
ad material in the For Sale Sections.

Thanks, Marc
