Briggs OHV & Vanguard / 44 v-twin cam timing
« on: April 15, 2014, 06:54:39 pm »
got a 44 els v-twin briggs pulled the governor out so i can put a flywheel on it & i removed the cam without marking the timing mark on the cam & crank gear. I stupidly re assembled the engine with the crank gear dot & cam dot lined up. Went to start it and it is getting fuel & spark it is trying to fire throught the carb then i opened engine & rotaed the engine counter clockwise & 180 deg to line up again & now it is firing like on the exhaust it sounds like its trying but its definitly a timing issue is there a stock way to reset cam.

Briggs OHV & Vanguard / 44CI briggs vtwin
« on: July 21, 2013, 11:57:01 pm »
What is required to run like a billet intek cam or a cheeta cam for a vtwin intek. i already know valves springs & retainers & up graded push rods. Would it not work with a flat top piston instead of the dished ones.

Also has anyone used rock rons intek rods before?

Chassis / 2010 Troy Bilt Horse chassis strength.
« on: July 07, 2013, 04:48:34 pm »
I am stuck on how to strengthen this chassis. this is for a fxt and the c channel runs outward instead of inward. kinad like this ]===[
= is the space between c channel. [ is channel. How would i run 3/4" square through this chassis if if the c channel is on the out side? The two halfs are Not removable either.
