As an independent observer (remember I didn't race at all in Tennessee) I watched all the classes and all the organizations racing against each other...
My initial thought was that one of the classes or one of the organizations or even one of the mowchines was gonna dominate the competition (hail yes I was hoping it would been
my FX
)
But the truth is all the mowchines despite wheel base differences and (allowable) motor size differences and even in the "mixed bag" races....No One machine or organization truly dominated or impressed the field... ALL the classes and racers (that were set up and prepared) were relatively equal in speeds and it was the driving styles, concentration and consistency that paid bigger dividends than the motor or chassis they "brung".
No one "lapped" the field...(yes they passed a few of the back markers but second and third was right on their tail) and no one machine was "locked on rails" on the track lap after lap either.. pretty much everyone got a chance to slide thru the marbles up on three and four...everyone had "some" good laps..and "some" slipping and sliding...
All in all it was good close racing, (as it should be) and it was a little bit of luck and a steady hand pulling the flags rather than any motor or chassis combo...
