New mower to work on.
« on: October 16, 2007, 03:35:34 pm »
Hello everyone,
I bought the mower and i really like it and i am thinking about making it a MOWchine, It is a Longlife mower it has a 12HP 28CID briggs motor which i had running lastnight, But i have a question do you guys think it would make a good MOWchine??? I have never heard of this kind of mower, But when i seen it i knew i had to have it, I have pictures, Here they are.

On a side note, These are the mowers i talked about getting and said one was kinda small and might make a good MOWchine, The last pictures is the a craftsman i bought to i like the green rims  and it is the mower i said was the same body style as the one Tomfox used to build his racing mower.

I think that's a pretty cool looking mower, you should clear over the surface rust and keep 'er as she is. It would be a fashion statement so-to-speak!

Chris, I might just do that, It is almost complete the only things wrong are where the F N R shifter is in front of your seat the cover is gone and one of the longlife emblems is a little melted the deck is in good shape, Both mowers i got from the same guy, He had some brush to burn and it got a little to close to his mowers the craftsman has it the worst with a melted tank a melted oil fill tube and some melting around the steering wheel it is the motor that has a knock in it so i am going to strip it for my 12HP crank, I only gave $20 bucks for both of them.

Thats right i only gave $20 bucks for both mowers, I thought it was a good deal, :rocknana: i think i am going to leave the Longlife alone and fix her up, i checked the deck over it looks to be in even better shape than i thought, I need to change the tires they are dry rotted and i need to clean some of the crud off, The motor does not seem to leak any oil it was running very well. :3gears: The only things i did to get it running i changed the plug and replaced the coil i had to put a carb on it (there was not one on it) and i changed the starter because the one on it did not turn the motor fast enough to start it, i think the starter has a bad spot in it. Anyway that is about all i can tell you about it thanks for reading my long post. I have just one more question, Does anyone know where i might be able to find a emblem for it and the shifter cover?? :willynilly:
