Engine building tools
Post by Red Horse Racing on Sept 19, 2005, 8:11pm

We're seriously considering equiping our shop with most of the standard engine rebuilding tools, so we can do our own work, short of boring that is. We really don't lack much.

In looking at valve seat cutting kits, the descriptions leave a lot to be desired.

The Neway kits look complete, but you have to be careful about getting one with the 60 degree cutter.

What I'm wondering is, what does the Briggs kit number BS19237 include? There seems to be no decent description anywhere. The price tells me it's not a complete kit, but you never know!

Yeah, I know, I know. Take it to a shop, it's only a few bucks. Times two or three engines, a trip down, a trip back, and gas isn't getting any cheaper!! Besides, there is something to be said for, "We did it ourselves", even if that's why it broke! LOL
