When you go there they have there own crew, thats part of what you pay for.And you can bet it's done with high tech stuff. To hold a record of any kind it must be where it can be challenged by others. The salt flats from what my attorney has found out that will never happen,so theres no record as of now.I want to be challenged that gives me something to work towards.I have run speeds of 88 on a gokart track and 117 at our local air strip all certified by radar but no they want allow this anymore so that means off to the Texas Mile.Oh yea this was done on 1972 Huffy 5 hp engine torque converter drive.FX legal mower.Yea there v-twins out there that will run that or maybe more but will they handle at those speeds.Lots of changes to run sraight instead of left turns,30 plus years of drag racing and working with my JR dragster guys helps. It's very dangerous at those speeds I've been there thats why I have a driver now. We've been in wind tunnell with scales under our tires to see what little body movement does.I can't begin to explain that to you.I've been building engines since 1969,gokarts,bikes,JR dragsters and drag cars.I'm at retirement age now and thats one of my goals the land speed record along with over seeing my kart and mower shop.
