Specs on opposed rods
« on: May 24, 2019, 07:44:01 pm »
Does anyone have specs on the pressure lube holes / rod dimensions?  I need to figure out what the 42" pressure lube rods have for oiling provisions.

Thanks in advance.

Stock rods.  I'm not racing, i'm just trying to assemble a pressure lube motor that somebody before me completely screwed up with non-pressure lube rods.

If you are just assembling a stock motor, then buy the new rods and install them.

i can't find the proper rod part number.  I am going from a 40cu engine to a 42 cu engine.  The original pressure lubed 12.5hp engine was underpowered.

And don't tell me to just go to a small engine repair shop.  They are all useless around here.

Don’t waste your money on that crappy engine.    Go buy a bigger v twin if you want more power.

You can buy a Chinese knock off of a Kohler v twin for less than the Stock rods will cost.  And it will bolt right up.

I would, but i'm kinda stuck with it.  The engine is directly under the operator.  It's one of the old zero turn mowers like a Grazer/Ingersoll/White/Deitz.  I've got a MAX engine height of around 19-20" and all the Vtwin horizontals are taller than that.  I ALSO have to have pto on both sides to drive the deck and the hydro motors.

About the only thing i've found that MIGHT work in it's place is a Kubota Z482 diesel.

Do you have a link to where they're available? Thanks
