I've asked a bunch of questions about the briggs opposed twin. Thought youmight want to see what the questions were about. Thanks for the help.

We'll it started as a 126 cub cadet. I built the front frame section myself, 1x2 square tube. It has a 14hp briggs opposed twin vertical fresh off the lawnmower, except I converted it to a horizontal shaft. It has a custom driver for the clutch disk built by a friend of mine. 4140 driveshaft, 6061 clutch disk, 26x12x12 carlisle superlugs in rear and ball bearing equipped wheel barrow tire assemblys up front. custom rear fenders, seat pan and belly and front wieght racks.  It will be in the 650lb class with my 7 year old daughter in the driver seat and in the 800lb class with me in the seat.

if you turned the back tires around would you get better traction

No, these tires along with the Pitbull and Pitbull 2 24x12x12 tires are extremely hard biting tires!

What class with this be pulled as? stock? the reason i ask it ive never seen a group allow a stocker to run 24x12x12s.

Tell us, how does the opposed to on its side? what all did you have to do to it? could you get us some pics?

George is your 18hp oppo a pressurized oil system?
If so I may be interested in a purchase if you are so inclined.

We'll I do have a full pressure lube horizontal but its not for sale. The engine on the puller is just a splash lube motor. ANY briggs vertical (except the pressure lube engines) can be made a horizontal if you have a donor horizontal engine. (a blown up one ). All you need is the oil pan, side cover, dipper and oil pan trough. On the vertical engines just remove the oil pan and rear block cover. The horizontal oil pan bolts were the vertical back cover was. The horizontal side cover bolts were the vertical oil pan was. Then you have to bolt the dipper to the rod bolt, put the dipper trough in the oil pan before you bolt it on. If you want a governor then swap the parts from the donor engine. I don't run a governor. I use the two piece aluminum vertical intake on the horizontal block with a side draft kohler carb from a 12-16hp kohler. The vertical engines are hhugley plentiful, the horizontal engines aren't as readily availible. I run against 12-14hp kohlers with all the aftermarket goodies in them and I trophy just as much as they do. Remember the hp sticker on an opposed doesn't mean a thing. The opposed run real well, They hold up extremely well. A pull only lasts a minute or so. I run mine at wide open, no governor. 4 degree key in the flywheel and some port work. I pull with judgement day pullers.
