Roller Rockers 31cid
« on: September 30, 2015, 10:29:54 pm »
I am currently running a Gteam built 31cid and have done very well this season.    I am looking to upgrade to ECs roller rockers this winter.    What performance changes should I expect?   Will the valve lash be easier to adjust and will it stay more consistent?    What about the valves, should I change them out as well or leave what Don has on there?

Either way I'd suggest new valves and valve springs, just cheap insurance.  Roller rockers imo, are harder to adjust until you get a feel for them, consistancy has to do with wear, in theory they should create a situation requiring less frequent lash adjustment.  Pry no seat of the pants feel in performance, but the rollers will be stiffer than stamped rockers, also less friction.  It all add up to the adage of a lot of little things.....
