Hey guys, new here.
Got a new sears GT the other day, put a starter on it, got it running, and its apparent it is in dire need of a carb cleaning. I can rebuild any other carb in my sleep, but ive never taken a crack at an opposed carb. Ive been told that they can be a bear to clean, and i'm looking for some tips.
yall got any tricks or pointers on it, so i dont muck it up? is it really different than a normal carb?
my engine is an 89' opposed twin, 18 horse, and its a horizontal shaft. thats where im scratching my head, never dealt with one like that. i know there is the 3 and 4 bolt ones, but thats about it. fuel pump is NOT mounted on the carb. its mounted elsewhere on the mower. i can get pics later tomorrow if that will help anyone
thanks in advance, looking foreward to contributing here, its a nice site you guys have here, tons of great info
