How can you clutch a chain?  Like a friction disk clutch?

ehh, i say just redo your hole clutch system and make shore all pulleys are lined up. Theres gotta be a reason why they keep frying, and i do not suggest to put a centrifical clutch on there, you will have really really really bad acceleration.

I say get one from tractor suplie or from like princess and if it ends up broke then do it like they do in the British racing with a clutch out of a motor cycle type deal.

The clutch in that pic is on a 3/4" at the most shaft...

Which tells me it has an "under 10 hp" rating and never had a chance on that setup...

Cheap mini-bike and gocart clutchs will not hold up to 14+hp...

Need to spend the cash for a Noram Mini Cup or Star type 1" clutch rated for "at least" what you want to put into it...

Noram makes several sizes of clutch...

As does Comet and Mercury, Tomar, Star and others..

A properly sized clutch...set up properly will handle a 14 hp motor easily...

If it's burning out or sticking...somebodys not doing something right...???
