The star clutch can only put a limited amount of power through it without slipping bc it was only designed to handle 15-20hp. The engagement is where you will see the biggest difference btwn the two, and the amount of torque it will handle. We all know the star clutch works, but it's not the best option. If you have an engine worth several thousand dollars making big HP, you will want as much of it as possible getting to the rear wheels. It has nothing to do with brand of motors, simply engineering. Kerber's clutch looks to be well built like all the rest of his parts.
