Fly wheel keys

I want to advance my timing George you said to use a #3 key a wile back ok now the dumb quistion which way does it go in. Does it move the fly wheel to the magneto sooner?   scott in N.Y.

yes looking down at the flywheel, it advances to the right-clockwise
