after looking at a digram of a 600, i would say weld the spider gears solid to eachother.  this should effectivly lock the diff.

would allow some space. Once something broke thru, I could be there to
take advantage. Then I would finish 7th instead of 10th." - Dubba G

well, that was the origional plan when i got it. But seeing that people have alot of problems when you just weld them, i dont wanna do that. I herd some where on this forum that you can add 2 more spider gears then weld it all togeather and it will be alot stronger than just welding the ones that are already in there. I'm not shore though.

Adding the spiders gears only works on a certain type of tansaxle I don't rememberer what kind it was some one can help me out here. But I would say if you can't make a locker then just weld it as long as you have good strong welds you will break your axle before those welds.

I was going to duplicate the locker they sell, but have no idea how i would make the end's part way square and round at the same time for the axle shaft to go through..

I never cracked open a good transaxle of any sort, but couldn't you take out the axle halves and the differential and just get a solid axle of the same diameter and transfer some gears over?  I don't know... sounds like if it was that easy, other people would be doing it already...
