Briggs 33 AVS Cam Gear

I was putting my old briggs cam in my new avs 33 briggs and the stock cam gear is machined different than the old style and wont allow the cam to slide all the way in. I'm looking for a gear that fits the avs crank but allows the old style cams to go in? Sent rons rocket parts an email about one on his site. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Put the cam in a lathe and turn down the offending metal.

You never win a race by focusing on one aspect of the race!  Motor isn't everything, but you better have a good one!  Chassis too!  But remember, a driver can take a slow machine and make it faster!  I may not have/be the best of any of these but I'm trying!

I've done it, just watch how much you feed into the lathe.
