34-36-38 #40 ANSI Chain Drive Sprocket
« on: July 31, 2012, 11:40:44 am »
Does anyone make a split alum sprockets in 38, 36, 34 & so on? I have seen them down to 40 tooth but that's it.

I may have to go with a solid steel sprocket (1-1/4 bore)....McMaster has them....any other suggestions?
I have some of them in 26t, 28t & 30t, they are a bit heavy, but they work great.

A 36-38 tooth 40 sprocket is only going to be about 4" OD so might not be practical to fit on a split sprocket hub...

May be stuck with sprocket/hub combo....and probably in steel...

Thank you sir!

That's kinda where my mindset was leaning towards. I did not think they made them any smaller than 40t.
Figured I would ask.

McM has them in steel and some in case hardend steel, used them before with flawless results.

Thnx!

I have a 40 tooth split in my collection.  It is the same size as the hub.  Can't get any smaller unless you got a smaller hub.

If you really need that small I'd build a hub and cut out the center of the steel sprocket and cut in 1/2 so you can still make gear changes.

I make my own with these parts. They are a little heavy and you have to drill and split the sprockets but its cheap and the lowest I have gone is a 30 tooth. You could probably get smaller if you wanted.
