Same here. I have four in one chain! Long story about that one!
You never win a race by focusing on one aspect of the race!  Motor isn't everything, but you better have a good one!  Chassis too!  But remember, a driver can take a slow machine and make it faster!  I may not have/be the best of any of these but I'm trying!

I quit using repair links all together on my pro-x. Kept breaking even the quality ones. I switched to using a chain breaker tool to put it together and haven't had any problems since.

I use half links but I use stainless steel half and whole links I'm about to try the whole chain I'm stainless to help from wearing them out so soon but they are quite expensive

Booking, hate to tell you but, we have stainless chain at work, it wears out almost three times as fast and is not as strong as regular steel. Looks pretty though!

That's strange a couple people I know run it and they say they never have to replace it and it doesn't stretch. But I can put a brand new steel chain on my mower and it will be wore after 1 race

Do you lubricate the chain before use?

Also, are you having scoring issues on your axle sprocket as well?  Is the scoring on one side, or both sides?  If just one side, it may be an alignment issue.  If it is worn on both sides, it could be an axle bearing/set screw affecting axle end play, I dunno?

Everything is lined up I dont put alot of lube on the chains because the dirt coming up will get stuck to the chain and wear out the sprockets and the chain even more. also oil from the chain likes to get on my belts for some reason.
