So we got a new flywheel for a TVT 691- apparently you have to use Briggs mag/coils-(wish I would have known) The question is -do I have to use the Briggs diode wire as well. Hooked up the Tecumseh wire to the briggs coils, and it won't shut off with the kill switch.

Reverse the direction of the diodes in the tecumseh harness and your good.
