Broken ARC Hub
« on: August 26, 2011, 07:17:45 pm »
Just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem. Happened when I was pulling the flywheel off. I took all 6 bolts out and put the two in for pulling it off. Soon as I put some tension on it I noticed it was starting to crack...wondering if anyone has a better way of pulling it off? Should I start using a regular flywheel puller?

I've broken a couple like that. If you quit before they crack too bad you can re-use the hub. Now I  always use a 3 bolt steering wheel puller. I take out every other bolt and use those holes. Just make sure the bolts you use are long enough ( I think about 3") to go the whole way through the flywheel so you don't pull the threads out of the aluminum flywheel.
