Tractor Pull
« on: July 18, 2011, 08:25:19 pm »
Went to support local fair having their first pull.  Typical summer track.  50.5 cube kohler flat head with hilborn fuel injection. 27 tooth gear because I didn't have any more.  Topped out at 7500 rpm.

Everything is in slow motion when im on it. When we get the diesel done that'll be a different story. It'll run about 26 mph in 300 ft. Probably have to put steering brakes on it.

One of the pro stock pulls at Delaware, Ohio Labor Day weekend.  Turns out had a bad condenser and fuel pump was partially plugged.  Our other tractor with basically the same motor pulled a 1/2 gear higher and it put 20 ft on this tractor.

First NQS pull of the season.  Brand new Super Stock Fuel Injected motor build by Russ Nichols of www.nicholsperformance.net

Last hook of the heat and won by 2 ft on a track that was getting worse with every tractor. Placed 4th in the finals with the 28th hook of 35 tractors.

Yeah, was about 10 lbs light on the front. I was sitting on the gear shifter, and let me tell ya that hurts when the front bounces at the end! It was hard to not turn left at the end of 200 ft lol.

Good weekend overall, between 2 tractors got 5 in the top 10 and 3 of those were top 5 in the three classes we pull in. Even beat vtwins. (They run 1/2" shorter hitch and 50# lighter on weight)

I went out of bounds twice before the 75' mark at columbus and that's exactly what popped in my head this time haha. Gotta be lucky sometimes. Thanks dennis.
