I've learned that in the end its all about having fun and its easy to loose sight of that during race season. Thankfully I race with a great bunch of guys, and when we travel we get to meet a lot of great people. When you stand back and look at everything, the sport of lawnmower racing is like no other and I'm proud to be a part of it.
This year the level of competition in the WOO outlaw class was unbelievable, I never had to work this hard for a win. I started this year out with a completely new machine - engine, clutch, brakes, tires, Midwest Super Cub sponsor, and so on. This is what keeps things exciting, the learning curve is still pretty steep the faster we go otherwise things become boring. We just keep pushing things over what we used to think was the limit and progress on. Like George mentioned, nobody is getting slower, everyone is getting much faster. I'm looking forward to a new 2011 season.
