Rod to crank clearance?
« on: June 14, 2010, 05:48:03 am »
Hi Guys,

Can anybody tell me what sort of clearance you are running on a 28ci flatty between the big end of the rod and the crank, i think you also call it the oil clearance.I use plastigauge and tourque up the big end bolts to get a clearance. This motor has a few mods to it but will not be pulling high RPMs.

Cheers

Wow that seems like alot. But if It works for you I will not knock it, but I have always used .0015 to .002 and had no trouble except with 1 twin flatty, but I don't think the clearance was the problem with it.
