In newspapers, in the event of tornados, floods, and the like, sometimes we put together "Special Sections."
How well do you think this would work for Mowmentum? For example, the December Edition was pretty much the "All American Edition." I think it looked pretty good.
I've talked with Bruce about putting out a "U.S. Open" edition, a supplement to the October edition solely for the US race over the Labor Day holiday. Are there local chapters/clubs that would be interested in hosting me (I'm guessing mileage only, I'll pony up for the hotel) for their marquee race? I'm just gauging interest, right now, and not committing to anything.
I do plan on traveling a bunch this spring/summer/fall and hitting a lot of races. But for big events like the All-American, the US Open and the like, I'd be more than happy to put out an All-event product. Now, it won't be 16 pages (unless I run the pictures great big), but it will be full of news and events from that one location.
Right now, the August (if it Mowmentum is still around) edition will feature lots of local news with the Twelve Mile 500 being the main story. But, so it's not swamped with Twelve Mile news, I can put out an 8 page supplement to it.
What do you all think? Next year's December edition (again, if I'm fortunate enough to keep doing this) will be general news, All-American feature and other current news. However, I can guaranteed a broader product if I put out a supplement to it. General thoughts? Did I confuse you all?
