Very pleased to announce that Steve Bertrand - Bert - will participate in the March edition! When is the March edition due out

I'm waiting on a picture of Mike Cupps. If anyone has one, email me at story_teller911@yahoo.com. I'm also waiting on his obituary. Everything else is solid. I had a little place to fill, then when I read he had passed, I figured it's the least we can do is publish his obituary.

Thanks birdman. I just talked with the funeral home and they are finalizing the obituary today (3-8). I also received a photo of MIke from the PME. If anyone has any others, I'd be more than happy to try to squeeze them in. Also, if anyone would like to comment on Mike, please add it in the "coffee shop" thread and I'll try to work those in, too.

Here's the obit with arrangements. I received several pictures. Thank you.

Mike Cupps, 55, of Corsicana, Texas passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.  Mike was preceded in death by his loving mother, Jackie Cupps.

Mike was born July 12, 1954 in Ohio to Jackie and Paul Cupps and at a very young age moved to Texas.  Mike attended schools in Ohio and Wichita Falls, Texas.  He was employed by L3 Communications for thirteen years as a Heat Treat Operator and Lead.  Mike enjoyed lawn mower racing and was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to all his fellow racers.  Mike was also known for Acme Mower Sports.

Mike married the love of his life, Vicki Vincent on September 18, 2009.  They shared the love of lawn mower racing and their families.

Mike is survived by his wife, Vicki Cupps; father, Paul Cupps; step-daughters, Amy and Kimberly Chappa; grandchildren, Caidyn Millsap and Taylor Murphy; and numerous extended family and friends.  Mike will be greatly missed by all that knew him.  Caidyn would like to say “I Love You Baby Doll PaPa”.

The family would like to extend a personal thank you to Dr. McCullum and staff at Baylor Hospital of Dallas.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Dollar officiating.
