EC Transmission

OR if you can wait we will be having our own by the end of Febuary. If you can wait till then these should be priced at 200.00 or maybe even a bit less. They will have steel gears and the cases will be beefier. All parts will be interchangeable with the peerless parts except the splined shaft and gearsand Input gear and bevel. BUT all peerless parts can be transplanted into these cases.

Are these classified as lawnmower transmissions, or an aftermarket unit...?

They are lawn mower transmissions they just are not made by peeerless. Course we all know peerless does not exist anymore. Same bolt pattern and at a glance the un trained eye cannot tell em apart.
Same spline on gear/brake shaft 5 speed. We are going factory driect made to our specs (race prep) in order to give the racers the best price possible

Cool.... I figured there had to be a replacement for the Peerless, mowers still need trannys, so somebody has to make them...
And changing internal gears, shouldn't be a problem, as long as case was originaly for a Mower.

What will you be using for gear ratios? I really like the 039 with 4th gear being 1 to 1. The ratios are close enough to race in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th depending on track size. (20/30, 23/27, 25/25). If you have that I'm pre-ordering 2  8).

Actually if your making your own gears the ultimate tranny would have 15/35 first, 22/28 second, 23/27 third, 24/26 fourth, 25/25 fifth.

Will be a standard 5 speed. 25/25 will be thrid gear. Will be 35/15 1st 30/20 25/25 22/28 and 20/30  the 27/23  gear set is not availble BUT you can take the slpine shaft out of the peerless put it in ours and then use all the same gears sets. The Input and bevel is not interchangeable either. But ours will be steel and we will have plenty of parts for them. Shift keys are interchangeable also. Everything on the brake shaft is interchangeable.
