a 91 Dodge short wheelbase with a 318 used to have OD now just a standard rear end and trans. I finally after 8 years did a tune up this past week. So it may improve.

ANd we see what happens when you allow bumpers on mowers!
good video Nic!

Those wrecks are not because of the bumpers... it's the bumping.. You would never see bumping like that at one of our races.. Many of those guys would have been on the trailer going home.

If I saw bumping like that I would be going home and not even try racing like that.. That's not racing.. that's a 40 mph demolishing derby..

I will say that that is one awesome track that looks like it has a ton of grip...

Do you have to have a front bumper to race there?  I would like to run my mod-x with yall now that there is no wall of death!!!!!
You never win a race by focusing on one aspect of the race!  Motor isn't everything, but you better have a good one!  Chassis too!  But remember, a driver can take a slow machine and make it faster!  I may not have/be the best of any of these but I'm trying!

To me that makes it fun, if you can go out their and bump alittle bit( not try to wreck people, or intentionally wreck others but like intimidating them) and that makes a race. The person who can over come being intimidated is the best driver.

I disagree 100%. Want to rub and bump then go race a car where its a part of life and the driver is protected by a cage. Its more fun more impressive and you gain more respect amoung your racing peers in our sport by racing hard lap after lap yet never touching the others. You come to a track I am over or in an official capacity with that mentality I promise no I garantee you will load it on the trailer and go home. And that is not open for discussion.

It is really tough with open wheel. I have climbed a wheel and went over. I didn't like landing 10 feet from my mower.

I cringed when I saw those two touch and flip into the wall.

GTX21, have you been in a wreck at speed yet?

Let "Days of thunder" keep the line "rubbing is racing". The rest of us need to get up the next day and go to work.. so I will take 2nd place if it means not having to bump the first place guy. We both need to go to work the next day and feed our families. It is not the end of the world to give a spot to a guy.

This is for bragging rights, we don't get paid to do this.

Race clean and go to work the next day.

I doubt very much GTX21 has gone fast enought to respect a wreck at speed...intentional or otherwise...

You ain't done it on a mower. That was the point being made. Crashing in a caged car strapped in is one thing been there done that I been cut out of a dirt late model. I know what speed is also. BUT I have aslo hit the ground from a 60+mph crash on a mower. I also know that that feels like. The point is you will not go far in mower racing bumping and rubbing to intimadate.

You guys have the wrong idea about Ellerbee because of one video. Bumping is not tolerated!! Sometimes I think they are too hard on some of the guys. I have seen some get Black flagged for a straight up accident.Yes they run close and take the race seriously but the chief don't mind at all getting in your face and sending you home or even banning you for a few races. This video is of just crashes and people making mistakes (and pour judgment calls) The fence was a good idea until the mowers got so fast (when the racing was first starting out) now its has got to be dangerous and they are doing something about it. Bottom line Ellerbee is a great place to race or spectate, big crowd, lot of good racers, and its for a great cause.
