Take the bolts out and pry it open with care.
Prep it like any other which you can find in this section.

Probably the best way to prep a Foote or Spicer, unless you are building a stock or superstock class mower, is with a sledgehammer!!!  :bash: :bash: :bash: :woo:

Clean it good, add heavy gear oil and run a goverened stock motor
